Dr. Keith Miller, a former university president, currently serves as an educational consultant with AASCU-Penson and teaches doctoral students at Virginia State University. Aside from his work at Virginia State, Dr. Keith Miller serves his community as an executive board member for the Richmond Boy Scouts, also known as the Boy Scouts of America’s Heart of Virginia Council.
Among the many programs offered by the Heart of Virginia Council is the Cub & Webelos Adventure Camp, located at the Heart of Virginia Scout Reservation in Maidens, Virginia. One of the camps offered at this location is the annual Tiger Rally, which is typically held in the fall. The Tiger Rally is an event that encourages new Tiger Scouts and their families to become familiar with the popular Adventure Camp, and it presents an opportunity to enjoy many of the camp’s offerings, which include rocket throwing, fishing, and BMX bikes, as well as special activities specific to the event such as a Tiger Parade and face painting.
This year’s Tiger Rally will take place on October 8, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event costs $8 per person and features activities designed for boys who are six years old or entering first grade, although older siblings are also invited to attend.
